Our practice specializes in evaluations that provide clarity on learning differences, ADHD, Autism, neurodivergence, and emotional well-being.

But we don’t stop there—we support families, clinicians, and educators by offering IEP Coaching, counseling, and professional consultation to support families, educators, and clinicians in navigating educational challenges and creating tailored strategies for success.

  • As a parent, I understand how much we want to see our children thrive. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to understand our children’s needs and how to help them.

I’m Gabriela, owner and founder of RootEd Psychology. I believe that psychoeducational evaluations help parents get to the root of their child’s strengths and weaknesses.

I have helped 100’s of families understand their child’s needs better, advocate for them in schools, and support them at home. I have worked in clinical mental health settings, private practice, and have over a decade of experience in education. I spent four of those years on a Bilingual Assessment Team conducting complex evaluations for children with co-occurring disabilities, second languages, and trauma needs.

Besides assessment, I have a passion for coaching parents about IEPs and the educational system to make advocacy accessible.

  • I believe communication is the foundation of human connection. Every person has a story to tell, and I am honored to help individuals improve their speech and language skills so that they are empowered to communicate in a way that is authentic and meaningful to them. I have worked in public education for 11 years, and I am passionate about culturally-appropriate evaluations and therapy services. I also worked for 3 years in home health, where I collaborated with families and caregivers on strategies, tools, and services that aligned to their personal goals. As a mother of a bilingual child and a speech-language pathologist for neurodiverse monolingual and multilingual children, I advocate for the acceptance and appreciation of all modes of communication (verbal and nonverbal) in all languages.
